KENYA MAGANJO

Notes of vanilla, raspberry and strawberry.

This AA-graded, fully washed batch of top quality coffee comes from the Maganjo washing station, located in the scenic Nyeri County region in the heart of Kenya. Known for its exceptional coffee, this area is often called ‘home’ when it comes to Kenyan coffee. To produce this batch, Maganjo worked with 595 local cooperative members, most of whom have coffee production as their main source of income.

After harvesting, the coffee is delivered to the factory for sorting and grading the same day. The process begins with mechanical pulping of the cherry, followed by removal of the mucilage by fermentation and washing. The washed beans are then dried on raised beds until they reach an optimum moisture content. After this, the coffee is stored in conditioning tanks before being transported to the mill for dry processing, which involves peeling, sorting and grading by bean size.
