Certificate training SCA Brewing Intermediate

Requirements for participation:Successful completion of the Brewing Foundation module and 3/6 months work experience using brew methods. The Introduction to Coffee course is also recommended.
Training duration: approximately 14 hours (divided into 2 days).
Students wishing to obtain the SCA certification diploma will take a practical test and a theoretical test (in the form of an online exam) at the end of the course.
The courses will be delivered every 2nd and 4th week of the month from February to July and September to November.
Training fee: 2000 RON.
SCA certification diploma fee: 250 RON.
During the training we will cover the following:
- Impact of roasting level;
- Differences between grinder knives;
- The 7 essentials for brewing;
- Coffee:water ratio;
- Grinding;
- Water quality.
- Stages of extraction;
- Brew analysis;
- Tests on extraction percentages (16%, 20%, 24%);
- Refractometer measurements.
